TERRABLADES
Terrablades are the first off-road skate that emulates a ski and provides a smooth turn similar to a ski on an off-road environment. The designers off Terrablades is a group of passionate downhill skaters, grass skiers, figure skaters and ski racers that have each contributed their know how to and testing to provide what has not been effectively created before.
The Terrablade has 8 (20 cm, 7.5 inch) pneumatic wheels that can be run with no air pressure. Inserted into the 4 center wheels are 4 hydraulic brake drums for maximum stopping power. These brake drums are activated by brake handles (attached to ski poles) . The brake lines clip onto the arm and travel down the back to the skate, and unclips for the skate to break away. The optimum boot for the Terrablade is an Alpine Touring boot since they are lighter and easier to walk in, however the Terrablade perform well with a regular ski boot.
The Terrablade is at home in grass, on fire roads, on mountain bike trails, in packed gravel, packed down sand, most anywhere a mountain bike can go when the rider is not peddling and then some.
